I used a mixture of water and dish soap to clean the pen, but even with that there's some ink stuck in the converter that won't clean out, and I can only imagine what the feed must be like. I know that sometimes India inks don't work well in fountain pens, but I've also seen some fountain-pen-specific ink call itself India ink before.
